Abu Dhabi is only an hour or so drive from Dubai, so why not take a trip to Ferrari World!
This largest indoor theme park in the world is one for adults and kids alike. Strangely enough, I’ve never entered a theme park through a mall before either.
I wouldn’t mind finding this bad boy under my Christmas tree!
Just a little Ferrari iPhone inception.
As you can see from the map above, Ferrari world still has some rides that are under construction. It is possible to get around to most of the rides in a day if you start early enough, since it’s inevitable that some rides might not appeal to you.
There are a few shows and performances on the ice rink, as well as a guest appearance from a polar bear for the kids. An incredibly lifelike mechanical one that is. But shh.. don’t ruin it for the kids!
Oh! Dad and I made an awesome team at changing the Formula 1 tyres in just 6 seconds.
I know, pretty impressive if I do say so myself.
And of course, when in Ferrari World, you’ve got to go on the fastest coaster in the world!
You’re even provided with goggles. Fasten them tight, mine nearly flew off!
Check out these swift race car drivers on the tracks for the minis!
Just a little tip for when you do get to Ferrari World, if you’re up for some go-karting, get your butt to the Karting Academy quick and reserve your spot as it runs on a timed ticketing system.
I’ve got to say this one’s for the thrill seekers. The track design is inspired by the Yas Marina Circuit where the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is held. The track is 290m in length and has a live timing in-park leaderboard, so this is definitely for those who like a bit of competition.
Do be careful on the tracks though, there are some kids on there that aren’t as experienced as us adults. Treat it as a friendly race.
I was totally in love with the centre structure of the theme park.
Beautiful isn’t it?
So what are you waiting for, explore Ferrari World!
